This high volume FMCG business are looking to recruit an Automation Engineering Manager to their expanding team. The business is currently thriving at the moment which is why they have a need for a high level Automation Manager to oversee a growing team. You will manage two manufacturing facilities across South Wales and you’ll have full autonomy to grow and develop automation across both sites, you will be tasked with recruiting your own Engineers to work under you and completely develop the Automation / Engineering departments.
Role & Responsibilities:
6. Running a team of two – Automation Engineer, Site Services Engineer.
7. Responsible for managing Automation across two manufacturing facilities.
8. Lead the evaluation selection and Implementation of PLC-based automation solutions, including SCADA systems, HMI interfaces and data acquisition tools.
9. Oversee the Design, deployment and maintenance of IT systems supporting automation initiatives, including manufacturing execution systems.
10. Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, IT and other departments to identify automation opportunities.
11. Build and lead a team of multi disciplined automation engineers, providing direction, mentorship and support of drive innovation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
12. Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or Automation Manager.
13. A manufacturing automation specialist with strong technical expertise in PLC programming, control systems design, industrial networking and IT infrastructure management. There is a requirement also to have strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards and quality management systems applicable to automation.
14. Experience working in a FMCG environment, has a good understanding of working to strict standards and regulations.
