What will the Assistant Finance Manager role involve?
1. Preparing and recording journals across multiple accounting systems to ensure accurate monthly reporting
2. Producing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations at month end
3. Supporting the Assistant Finance Manager with key control processes for acquisitions
4. Producing completion accounts and weekly cash flow forecasts
5. Supporting the preparation and timely submission of VAT and corporation tax returns
6. Assisting with the year-end audit process, liaising with auditors
7. Working cross-functionally with other departments and stakeholders to resolve financial reporting queries
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Finance Manager vacancy:
8. Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (actively studying towards full qualification)
9. Experience in management or financial accounting, ideally with exposure to multiple entities
10. Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of control environments
11. Confident communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders across the business
12. Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines
13. Strong Excel and financial systems skills (Xero and Sage would be an advantage)
