Description Costain are due to be appointed as Delivery Partner by National Highways (NH) for delivery of the A47 Wansford to Sutton Dualling scheme. Our scope of work includes completion of the Detailed Design, Preparation for Construction and then Construction and Handover of the scheme. We are due to mobilise for the design phase in Summer 2025 with a planned start of construction works in Spring/Summer 2026. We expect some advanced works to also be instructed from Autumn 2025 onwards. The scheme is part of a wider programme of improvements that NH are completing on the A47. This part of the programme includes the widening of 2.5km of the A47 from its junction with the A1 heading East towards Peterborough as well as works to the A1 to improve accesses to existing properties and to create a new slip road from the A1 southbound. There are also works to the local authority road network and to walking, cycling and horse riding routes to improve connectivity. A Project Information Manager is required to establish a culture of strong information management practice within the project and support the team to proactively manage the controlled production, sharing and publishing of information deliverables. The role will be required to interface with all Costain team members, members of the Jacobs design team, other suppliers and the NH client team to ensure that all documentation is managed in line with the project BIM Execution Plan and Costain information management processes and systems. Location is flexible between Costain/Site/Client offices and home working. LI-JK1 Responsibilities Championing of information management processes and systems and within the project environment and teams. To manage the numbering, naming conventions, meta data compliance, controlled exchange and general management of information deliverables in line with projects BIM Execution Plan and Costain requirements. Understanding and adherence to legal (including GDPR), contract and project document management requirements. Deal with all enquiries efficiently and effectively, prioritising and keeping stakeholders informed. Assist in the production and exchange of digital and hard copy information deliverables via transmittals, and facilitate the capture and collation of comments from review workflows Where required undertake training of operational team and suppliers in use of the information management systems and associated workflows (e.g. SharePoint, BCDE, ProjectWise). Enable assurance by keeping records of all document movements and ensure these records are maintained for audit purposes. Support project internal and external audits with the discovery of information Ensure the information environment including folder structure, meta data and taxonomy is set up correctly and adhered to with correct permissions of read, review, and edit. Be the interface with the client’s information management system to ensure control exchange of information to and from. Using the CDE schema data intelligence to produce compliance reports for management and audit purposes. Working with our Designer and other suppliers to collate their Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP) into an updated Master plan (MIDP) and monitor deliverable workflow performance between their planned and actual dates. Qualifications Essential Suitable academic qualification Ability to achieve the DBS requirements. Minimum 5 years’ experience of document control and information management. Experience of working in a complex infrastructure construction project environment with multiple stakeholders. Fluent with and experience of working to and upholding the BIM standards outlined in the ISO19650 series with particular focus on Delivery Phase and Information Exchange using a Common Data Environment solutions(s) and workflow. Good knowledge of Information and Cyber Security best practice, internal and client classification requirements. Highly organised with an attention to detail, ability to plan and prioritise own workload, able to work effectively to deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively and influence peers, senior managers and wider team in both verbal and written. High level of competence in the use of MS Word (templates, styles, dynamic fields), MS Excel (tabular data, functions, pivot tables), MS SharePoint and MS Teams. Desirable Working knowledge of the National Highways’ Policies and Procedures regarding Information Management within Major Projects Directorate. Fluent with Bentley BCDE. (previously Business Collaborator) Experience with Bentley BCSync for streamlined information exchange between systems Fluent with Bentley ProjectWise. Familiar with the principles of a federated design model to support communication, issue and clash management Basic understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Basic understanding of Reality Modelling Basic understanding of SharePoint Site Collection Administration Basic understanding of the National Highways’ Asset Information requirements.
