Role: Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Home-based, must be located in the UK (some travel required to Manchester)
Day Rate: Up to £850 per day - Inside IR35
This is a strategic commercial leadership role focused on supporting priority bids within the Public Services division. The role involves shaping and negotiating complex deals, ensuring commercial viability, and leading bid governance and contract processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial strategy and direction on priority deals
* Shape and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors
* Oversee pricing and financial modelling to ensure profitability
* Manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Support bid governance and approval processes
* Advise on commercial models and contracting approaches
* Engage in competitive dialogue and negotiations
* Review and contribute to bid responses

* Proven experience in commercial leadership on large bids within Public Sector
* Strong contract negotiation and risk management expertise
* Financial acumen and understanding of pricing models
* Knowledge of contract law and governance frameworks
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
* Resilience, self-motivation, and deadline-driven
* Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
* Experience with large Public Sector deals (preferred)
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience
* Professional accreditation desirable (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, Legal, WorldCC, ICM, MCIPS)
