About the Apprenticeship
The apprenticeship program spans three years, during which you will work towards a degree in Management and Business. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of logistics and supply chain operations, including:
1. Logistics & Supply Chain Operations: Learn how our network operates from collection hubs to final delivery, with a focus on tracking and optimizing parcel flows.
2. Operational Management: Develop day-to-day management skills, learning to manage KPIs, allocate resources, and plan for contingencies.
3. Commercial & Financial Acumen: Understand the financial aspects of operations, including budgeting, profitability analysis, and finding cost savings.
4. Customer Service & Client Relationships: Gain insights into customer expectations and learn how to handle complaints, track issues, and provide solutions.
5. Leadership & People Management: Manage teams of drivers, warehouse operatives, and office staff, developing communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Explore how we adopt new technology, such as route optimization software and automated sorting systems.
7. Sustainability & Environmental Practices: Learn about initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, including alternative fuel vehicles, route efficiency, and sustainable packaging.
About You
We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, who can effectively communicate with team members, managers, and customers. You should be able to analyze operational issues, identify practical solutions, and think logically when dealing with unexpected challenges.
