Job Title: Area SENDO (Special Educational Needs Development Officer)

Role Overview
The Area SENDO is part of the Early Years Inclusion Team within the Intervention and Prevention Service, under the Children, Young People and Families Directorate. You will work under the guidance of the Seedlings Nursery Manager, deputising as needed, and lead as the setting Sendco or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mentor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide safe, high-quality education and care for children aged 2-5 years.
2. Fulfill legal and statutory EYFS requirements.
3. Implement inclusive practices, embedding a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
4. Contribute to nursery and city policies ensuring smooth transitions for children and families through a multi-agency approach.
