Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant will include: Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN throughout the school day Supporting pupils to access lessons and learning activities Working alongside the class teacher to adapt resources Implementing strategies from EHCPs and support plans Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management Encouraging positive social interactions Supporting transitions between lessons and activities Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtimes Monitoring progress and recording observations Supporting personal care needs where required Promoting independence while maintaining appropriate support Helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is: Patient, compassionate, and empathetic Emotionally resilient and able to manage challenging behaviour Passionate about SEN and inclusive education Confident working as part of a team Flexible and adaptable to pupils’ changing needs Experience in an SEN or educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
