The Day Care Manager is responsible for providing Day care for older people and people with Dementia and respite for their carers to include enabling the Day Centre as a whole to take a full and active part in the life of the local community. A professional social work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the NISCC register (without condition) or a first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register or allied health professions registered with the Health Professions Council and a minimum of 4 years experience in any health and /or social care setting with 2 years managerial experience. OR A level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) and registered or be eligible for registration on the appropriate part of the NISCC register (without condition) and a minimum of 5 years experience in any health and social care setting with 2 years managerial experience. 2. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of older people with dementia and how their needs may be addressed by person-centred support and care planning. 3. Able to work as part of a team and carry out the full requirements of the role to include manual handling (patients). 4. Basic IT/Microsoft Office and knowledge of Day Care services and associated policies and procedures 5. Self-motivated and able to maintain confidentiality, reliability, commitment and professional appearance. 6. A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport*(*where an applicant indicates that a disability prohibits them from driving, this criterion will be waived at the shortlisting stage.
