Health Care Assistant – Mental Health (Older People)
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) invites experienced Health Care Assistants to join the Mental Health Service for Older People. The role supports patients through their recovery, addressing both physical and mental health needs on the Coleman Ward (19 beds) at the Evington Centre, Leicester General Hospital.
Key Duties
* Assist the nursing team in delivering care for patients in the Coleman Ward.
* Support patients’ physical and mental health recovery.
* Work rotating 12‑hour shifts (day and night) covering a 7‑day week.
* Maintain high standards of patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare setting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to problem‑solve, negotiate and demonstrate leadership qualities.
Working Terms
* Full‑time or part‑time (minimum 23 hours per week). Permanent roles.
* Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 a year (Band 3).
