Senior Civil Engineer Salary up to £46,000 Cardiff BayI’m looking to speak with experienced/ Senior Civil Engineers local to Cardiff, interested in joining a medium sized, incredibly successful civil and structural engineering consultancy on a permanent basis.This is a key role within the business, where you will be overseeing the Civil Engineering output for a wide range of interesting building and infrastructure projects.Benefits include: flexible working, profit sharing, bonus structure, opportunity to progress to a leadership role within the business.Responsibilities of this Senior Civil Engineer role:Undertake and oversee the production of technically sound engineering solutions, including calculations, drawings, specifications and reportsDesign of sustainable drainage solutions, including the preparation and management of SAB applicationsDesign and specification of highways/external works elementsPreparation and submission of sectional agreementsCheck output from technicians and junior colleaguesCoordinate designs with colleagues and wider project teamAttend meetings and undertake surveysCollaborate with clients, designers and building contractors throughout the design and construction processPlay an integral role in the management and delivery of projectsRequirements of this Senior Civil Engineer role:Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (or other appropriate subject)Chartered or nearly Chartered statusComprehensive knowledge of below ground drainage design, including drainage strategies, SAB applications, SuDS features and external worksGood working knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, TEDDS and Causeway Flow/MicrodrainageEnsure compliance with all relevant technical standardsAbility to prepare technical reportsDemonstration of innovation and problem solving skillsExperience of managing multidisciplinary projectsMinimum 5 years' post graduate experienceWillingness to help mentor early career colleaguesCommercial ability, including the production of tenders, fee proposals and wider business developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHelp promote a culture of best practice (including technical, H&S and sustainable design)In depth knowledge of the role of the designer in relation to the CDM Regulations 2015
