Role: Events Officer
Location: South Ribble and Chorley
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £31,537 - £33,699

South Ribble and Chorley host a large, exciting and varied programme of annual events – popular with both residents and visitors to the boroughs. However, our events generate much more than audiences. They positively contribute to the local economy and support our communities.
We are now looking for dedicated, skilled and dynamic individuals to come and join our amazing event team and contribute to our continued success.
What you will be getting up to
* You will work on an amazing event programme. Including; the Chorley Flower Show, the Chorley and South Ribble ‘Live’ events, Light Up Astley, the Chorley 10K, a Taste of Leyland, a host of Christmas events and many more.
* Our Event Managers create engaging, popular and safe events. Our Event Assistants support the effective and efficient delivery of events. Whilst our paid bank of Event Stewards make sure our events are safe and our audiences well looked after.
We are looking for individuals who
* Are skilled and experienced (Event Officers and Assistants), hard working, adaptable and committed to delivering enjoyable and safe events.
* Has an interest in leisure and culture including events.
* Delivers to a high standard.
Other requirements
* Events take place around our boroughs. You should have the ability to get to and from event locations.
* This role requires some unsociable - out of hours working including evenings and occasional weekends.
