I’m currently supporting a leading civil engineering contractor who are looking to add an experiencedmercial Administrator/ Cost Clerk to theirmercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong cost administration skills to join a busy and established contractor on a permanent basis. This role is full-time on site or in the local office.
Your new role
As amercial Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate cost control for the projects that you are assigned to. You will support site andmercial teams by maintaining financial records, processing site related costs, and ensuring all project expenditure is tracked correctly. This is a key role that helps the business maintain real-time visibility of costs and supports efficient project delivery.Day to day, you will be responsible for updating internal systems, processing invoices, checking timesheets, managing subcontractor cost information, and preparing cost summaries for management review. You will work closely with site teams, quantity surveyors andmercial staff to ensure accurate cost allocation and timely reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience in a costing,mercial administration, construction finance or site support role within the civil engineering or wider construction sector. Experience using Coins is highly desirable, although full training can be given.You should be highly organised, confident working with numerical information, proactive in managing workload, and able tomunicate clearly with both site and office-based teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential, along with an ability to work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
