Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Turner/Setter/Operator to work within a specialised team. Making one-offs and small batches of complex precision machined components from various grade materials
Accurately inspecting and measuring components using various inspection equipment including, but not limited to micrometres, verniers and plug gauges
Setting and operating CNC lathes (knowledge of either HAAS or Siemens controls desirable)
The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and possess excellent problem solving skills
Responsibilities
* Operate CNC machines to produce complex precision parts according to specifications to drawing tolerances and specifications
* Adhere to quality standards
* Interpret CAD drawings and to set up machining processes
* Perform tooling changes and adjustments as necessary
* Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
* Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the production process
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in CNC operations
* Proficiency in CAD software and for design interpretation
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
* Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
* Possess a willingness to learn and have an enthusiastic can-do attitude with an eye for details
* Manual turning beneficial
* Minimum experience of 3 years
