Job summary

The Transformation Delivery Unit (TDU) supports the Trust's vision through the delivery of key strategic and transformation objectives. The TDU will be established as a unit to provide transformation support across all parts of the Trust clinical and corporate areas to drive the delivery of priority programmes of work.

Working with the Programme Managers, Programme Directors for Corporate and Clinical Transformation Programmes, the Project Manager will play a key role to support the delivery of specific transformation and improvement project(s) across the Trust. This includes supporting delivery, facilitating change and monitoring and reporting progress of projects across the Trust.


Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of the Programme Manager, to project manage the delivery of discrete / multiple / simultaneous projects, which will contribute to a programme of change. This could include the development of business case, cases for investment and transformation plans.

Ensure the implement of the new Trust Transformation Approach across all projects supported.

Ensure tracking and monitoring of projects is carried out, and using the Trust standard documentation ensuring reporting put in place through required project governance.

Ensure communications plans developed and in place where required for projects and programmes.

Ensure risks and issues are appropriately managed and mitigated in project and programme governance.

Make routine/complex formal presentations to large groups.

To manage budgets appropriate to the role and scope of the post, where these are allocated specifically to a project.

Support the implementation of required change management and benefits realisation activities for every programme or project.

Develop an awareness and knowledge base around the fundamentals and principles of change and benefits activities and implementation

Deliver change and benefits activities as required within programmes and projects, with the support and guidance from the Digital Change Team

* * Significant knowledge and experience of project management and service development, delivering projects in a multi-agency or complex environment
* * Relevant Project Management Qualification e.g. Prince 2 or relevant equivalent experience
* * Degree level or Higher Education equivalent qualifications or Project Management qualification.

* * Demonstrable experience of involving service users and carers in the design and delivery of health services
* * Demonstrable experience in project management to include planning, implementing and managing projects across multiple organisations or teams
* * Demonstrable experience of effectively engaging with key stakeholders, such as clinical staff
* * Experience of developing business plans or similar, (e.g. tenders / bids / business documents) either through writing, contributing to, or monitoring
* * Demonstrable experience of producing accurate plans and project documents which inform and influence target audience.
* * Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
* * Experience of working autonomously on a pre-determined piece of work
* * Excellent project management skills
* * Able to support or manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* * Adopts a systematic approach to problem solving using varied sources of information
* * Ability to receive, analyse, interpret and present information in audience appropriate ways
* * Good knowledge of Microsoft office products
* * Self-awareness and good interpersonal skills
