Key Machine Minder Responsibilities:
* Set up, start, and operate automated production equipment to meet daily output and quality standards.
* Complete start-up and routine checks to ensure machinery is safe and running to specification.
* Monitor machine performance during production, making adjustments to maintain efficiency and consistency.
* Work closely with shift supervision to coordinate breaks, changeovers, and workflow.
* Identify equipment faults and assist with basic diagnostics alongside the engineering team.
* Escalate mechanical or technical issues promptly to reduce downtime.
* Maintain clear and accurate shift handovers to ensure operational continuity.
* Keep machinery and work areas clean, organised, and compliant with site standards.
* Carry out cleaning tasks in line with documented procedures.
* Support the training of colleagues once fully competent in the role.
* Develop capability across additional equipment and processes as required.
* Follow all health, safety, and site procedures without exception.
Required Machine Minder Experience:
* Previous experience operating machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong awareness of health & safety and quality requirements.
* Ability to monitor performance, identify issues, and respond effectively.
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
* Strong attention to detail with a practical problem-solving mindset.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
