Overview
As Marketing & Communications Assistant, I support the delivery of campaigns, content, and communications that raise awareness of Kisimul's work, strengthen our brand, and engage families, staff, and professionals. The role combines creativity with organisation, helping to ensure our stories, updates, and services are shared clearly and effectively across multiple channels. Working in line with the organisation's strategic objectives and priorities, I contribute to the development and delivery of marketing and communication activities that promote Kisimul's values, enhance visibility, and support our mission to improve outcomes for the children, young people, and adults we support.
Responsibilities
* Create, edit, and schedule content for social media, newsletters, and the website.
* Support the design and production of marketing materials including posters, brochures, and presentations.
* Assist in coordinating campaigns, events, and community engagement activities.
* Draft and proofread copy for internal and external audiences.
* Monitor and report on engagement across digital platforms, highlighting opportunities to improve.
* Maintain contact lists, digital assets, and communication records.
* Liaise with colleagues, families, and external partners to ensure consistent, accurate messaging.
* Provide administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team.
* Work closely with the BD team to align marketing and the overall business needs.
* Take responsibility for establishing and maintaining a clear process for collecting, presenting, and sharing outcomes, ensuring marketing materials are evidence-led.
* Collaborate with Operations to embed accountability for outcome reporting within marketing workflows.
* Ensure that outcome information feeds into regular communications with external stakeholders, reports for contract reviews, and campaigns to enhance transparency and trust.
Requirements / Experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
* Confident using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to engage different audiences.
* Good organisational skills, able to balance multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Creative flair with experience using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (desirable).
* Familiarity with website content management systems and analytics tools (desirable).
* A collaborative, proactive approach with enthusiasm to learn and contribute.
* An interest in education, care, or the not-for-profit sector.
