Job Overview
Emerge is a supportive, initiative‑driven, young person‑focused mental health team seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate clinical psychologist to work within our busy outreach multi‑disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
* Assume responsibility for management of a complex caseload and exercise the highest standards of professional responsibility for assessment, treatment and discharge of children, young people and families/carers, using specialist knowledge and evaluating care programmes in collaboration with relevant agencies.
* Provide specialist psychological assessments of young people referred to the service, integrating data from psychological tests, self‑report measures, direct and indirect observation and interviews with clients, family members and/or carers.
* Formulate and implement plans for psychological therapeutic intervention or management based on an appropriate conceptual framework, working in home, social services, community, hospital and educational settings as required.
* Deliver case‑management supervision to junior members of the team and trainees, as required.
* Actively participate in regular clinical supervision, case‑management supervision, appraisals and personal development opportunities.
* Attend and contribute to CAMHS multi‑disciplinary team meetings; co‑work cases managed by other team members and contribute to specialist therapy services and clinics.
