Overview
Howdens is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This opportunity has arisen following an internal promotion. In this role, you’ll be responsible for proactive and preventative maintenance across our manufacturing equipment, services, and utilities, while also supporting improvement projects and providing reactive maintenance support when needed.
What you’ll be doing
* Proactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment, services, and utilities.
* Reactive maintenance support when required.
* Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects and lean initiatives.
* Ownership and development of maintenance for specific production lines.
* Engage with lean manufacturing practices to improve operations.
Qualifications and experience
* Electrical Engineer background with an apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications and proven manufacturing or industrial experience.
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.
* Experience maintaining multi-axis (CNC) manufacturing machinery; extraction plants; and experience in wood working manufacturing plant is desirable.
* Pைக்கWER (PUWER) experience would be desirable.
* Knowledge and experience of Siemens S7 PLC, PLC, Pilz Safety PLC; fault finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
* Experience with computerised maintenance management systems.
* NVQ Level 3 essential.
Pay, shift pattern and conditions
* Pay rate: £53,827.28 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance).
* Shift pattern: Week 1 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 6am–6pm; Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday 6am–6pm and Wednesday, Thursday 6pm–6am; Week 3 – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6pm–6am; 7 days off.
