Job Description
This opportunity is part of the Global Cyber Security (GCS) Team, where our mission is to embed cybersecurity culture into McDonald's DNA to fortify the System against cyber threats through proactive defense, relentless innovation, and strategic collaboration. This Manager level role will be part of GCS and Global Technology, focusing on Communications and Operations for the organization. The Manager, Operations Excellence (Communications), GCS will report to the Director, Operations Excellence, and will be responsible for managing leadership communications, driving organizational change management activities, and supporting operational governance across our Global Cyber Security organization and supporting market deployment communications for key cyber initiatives. This position will be based in London.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Support market communications for the team, supporting market deployment change management and communication plans.
2. Work with key cybersecurity and market stakeholders to support end-user enablement and communications to segment and market leadership.
3. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication and partner engagement strategies.
4. Provide timely input to leadership scripts, narratives, and talking points.
5. Develop and support materials for leadership meetings, conversations, and events.
6. Advise, align, and influence team members on effective communication strategies, key focus areas, and impact measurement.
7. Identify and apply creative ways to reach and engage audiences through content and approaches.
8. Support team performance management processes and meet deadlines.
9. Support execution and action planning for staff surveys.
10. Manage operations management practices for the team.
11. Enable effective change management approaches, motivate internal change, and act as an ambassador of change.
12. Establish governance for documentation and knowledge sharing repositories, standard methodologies, and expectations.
13. Develop business routines and operational processes.
14. Establish routines for team communications, HR management, and operational activities.
15. Align team practices with overall ways of working.
16. Determine best collaboration practices with center teams, markets, segments, and partners.
17. Partner with peer OpEx Managers in GCS and Cyber Market Engagement team for alignment and consistency.
18. Provide support to the Director of Operations Excellence as needed.
Qualifications include significant experience in business, technology, communications, change management, organizational efficiency, or related areas. Experience with organizational practices, cybersecurity background preferred, excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with technical teams, and proficiency in process optimization are required. The role demands a structured yet flexible approach, with a proven track record in delivering successful communication programs and leading discussions among large audiences. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools like Smartsheet is expected. Prosci Change Management certification is desirable.
