Purpose of the role:
The Global Business Development Director is a key individual contributor responsible for accelerating revenue growth through new client acquisition and maximizing opportunities with existing clients across the Ebiquity group. This role demands a proactive and self-sufficient professional who brings enthusiasm to their efforts in generating business, expanding our client base, and maximizing revenue and profit generation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Leadership:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Ebiquity’s overall goals and objectives.
* Maintain a detailed understanding of Ebiquity’s full range of products and services, the client problems addressed, and how these solutions are delivered.
* Ensure the comprehensive breadth of Ebiquity’s product portfolio is effectively marketed and sold.
* Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and expansion.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to set revenue goals and track performance against targets.
New Business Development:
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, respond to RFPs, and lead pitches.
* Develop and implement targeted sales initiatives aimed at attracting new clients and retaining existing ones in diverse markets.
* Manage a robust sales pipeline, focusing on quickly and effectively closing revenue.
* Proactive in building and nurturing strong relationships with clients to drive revenue growth.
* Leverage insight-led selling techniques to establish trusted partnerships with target clients.
Client Engagement and Eminence:
* Actively visit clients and prospects to foster relationships and build rapport; including attending industry events for networking opportunities.
* Represent Ebiquity at industry events and contribute to profile-raising activities (e.g., panel participation, social media engagement).
* Enhance customer experience by aligning sales efforts with customer expectations and brand promises.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Foster a positive cultural environment and strong collaboration within the Client Success team.
* Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders across various specialisms and functional services.
* Support the development of a sales culture within Ebiquity.
* Collaborate with the product team, providing market feedback to inform product development and enhance sales conversations.
* Utilize sales prospecting tools and CRM systems to track engagements and manage client interactions effectively.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What You Will Bring to the Role:
* Proven expertise in media buying or related roles, with strong digital media knowledge and the ability to engage clients about emerging growth channels such as STV, influencer and retail media.
* Good knowledge of global media markets and experience in selling large-scale enterprise, complex deals directly to advertisers in multiple markets.
* Autonomous, proactive, solutions-focused, and results-driven mindset.
* Excellence in client needs discovery and solution-oriented sales.
* Ability to mobilize and motivate internal stakeholders to support new business pitches and deliver optimal client solutions.
* Agility and flexibility to keep all internal stakeholders informed about account developments.
* Capability to navigate client internal politics and ways of working.

* Achievement of new business success and revenue growth.
* High win rates in new client acquisition.
* High win rates through RFPs.
* Effective cross-sell and upsell of Ebiquity Group services.
