This 12‑month fixed‑term Senior Designer opportunity will be a key lead on George Home Trend Direction, lead print/pattern vision for the wider George Home team and be responsible for coordinating bedding category developing collections in collaboration with the wider Home design team.
Responsibilities
* Concept and deliver trend direction for the season ahead, engaging wider design and commercial teams.
* Lead print development, creating key looks that flow into wider categories.
* Coordinate product vision through design, development, inspire and engage bedding category team members and peers, building external relationships with supply partners to deliver commercial ranges.
* Own the design critical path of the department, ensuring timely delivery of samples and full accountability for product development from concept to final product, aligning with seasonal trends and brand DNA.
* Manage and develop one design assistant.
* Balance hybrid working: minimum 3 days a week in one of Asda Home Offices, with possible additional office days, supplier visits and store/depot visits as required.
Qualifications
* Expert handwriting skills across a breadth of styles.
* Adobe Creative Suite technical proficiency.
* Extensive design experience within a comparable business.
* Strong creative, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to engage and inspire commercial peers with product vision.
* Strategic mindset with a 'can do' approach.
* Passionate about the product, with pride in process and attention to detail.
* Strong presenting skills to large audiences.
* Eager to develop and inspire others and manage people.
