Senior Bookkeeper & Finance Manager Flexible Remote Role | Farnham Office 1 Day Per Week | Employed or Self-EmployedWe are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our growing team in a senior, client-facing position.This role would suit someone who enjoys combining hands-on bookkeeping and finance management with client support, team coordination, and operational responsibility. We offer genuine flexibility, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a long-term role that can work around family life or other commitments.The Opportunity You will work closely with a portfolio of clients, supporting their day-to-day finance function remotely while also helping manage and oversee an outsourced bookkeeping team. Alongside client delivery, you will play an important role in onboarding new clients and helping ensure processes run efficiently across the wider finance operation.The role is primarily home-based, with attendance at our Farnham office approximately once per week.Working Pattern Flexible 4 or 5 day working weekSchool hours and flexible working arrangements consideredEmployed or self-employed applications welcomeRemote working with occasional office attendanceMain Areas of Responsibility Managing bookkeeping activities for multiple clientsPreparing VAT returns and maintaining accurate financial recordsProducing monthly management accounts and financial reportsManaging bank reconciliations, cash flow, payables and receivablesSupporting clients remotely with day-to-day finance queries and requirementsOnboarding new clients and implementing smooth handover processesBuilding strong ongoing client relationshipsSupervising and supporting an outsourced bookkeeping teamReviewing workloads and ensuring deadlines and service standards are maintainedAssisting with process improvements and wider finance operationsWhat Were Looking For We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, highly organised, and comfortable managing both client relationships and finance operations within a fast-paced remote environment.Ideal experience includes:Previous experience in a senior bookkeeping or finance management roleStrong working knowledge of XeroExperience with Sage50 and QuickBooks advantageousPayroll experience desirableExperience managing or reviewing the work of finance/bookkeeping staffExcellent communication and organisational skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloadsAbility to travel to Farnham approximately 1 day per weekAbout The Part-Time Finance People We provide flexible and reliable finance support services to businesses across a range of sectors.
