We are seeking an experienced Quality Control & Methods Engineer (Civil) to supervise and participate in the quality control activities during the execution phase of major facilities projects. This senior-level role ensures that all civil works meet the required quality standards, comply with project specifications, and maintain technical integrity across all phases of construction.
As an Engineer Supervisor, you will play a key role in developing QC methodologies, supporting contractors, and maintaining high levels of performance and compliance within an Oil & Gas project environment.
Main Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance
* Verify that all Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) requirements are met during civil execution activities.
* Review and validate Quality Control documentation from vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Ensure civil activities are performed in accordance with the project/package Quality Control System.
* Maintain accurate and timely reporting of Quality Control data.
* Assist in the assessment of contractors’ quality capabilities and performance.
* Support the resolution of quality-related issues.
Site and Vendor Oversight
* Participate in and supervise civil QC activities and inspections across construction sites and workshops.
* Ensure all QC verifications are performed according to approved QCPs and ITPs.
* Conduct technical audits of vendors and contractors.
* Manage interactions with third-party validation and certification authorities.
Documentation and Process Development
* Develop and maintain civil QC procedures, inspection forms, and non-conformance management tools.
* Review QC documents prepared by contractors and vendors.
* Ensure adequate availability and competency of QC inspectors.
* Produce periodic Quality Control reports and escalate issues where required.
* Identify quality problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Coordination and Communication
* Participate in site quality meetings.
* Work closely with internal engineering teams.
* Engage with external stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, local authorities and professional associations.
Qualifications
Education
* Technical Diploma required.
* Engineering degree preferred.
* Knowledge of technical codes for Civil Works (e.g., ACI).
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
