Secondary Cover Supervisor

Pay: £95 - £120 per day

A welcoming secondary school in Dewsbury is looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. If you enjoy working with young people, can think on your feet, and have a knack for keeping a classroom running smoothly, this could be just the role for you.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay engaged, focused, and on track with their learning. No lesson planning required, just great classroom presence and a positive attitude.
What you'll be doing:
* Supervising whole classes across a range of subjects
* Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain on task
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Supporting students to complete their learning activities
* Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
* Helping to create a positive and productive learning environment
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with young people, either in education, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar settings
* Is confident managing groups of students
* Has strong communication and organisational skills
* Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable
* Holds a degree or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
* Is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
