Prepare contracts, offer letters, and right-to-work checks
Keep personnel files and employee documentation up to date
Maintain HR policies, templates, and trackers
Draft job adverts, post to job boards, and manage applications
Arrange interviews, coordinate feedback, and run reference checks
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes including inductions and exit interviews
Provide first-line employee relations advice, support formal meetings, and lead performance management processes
Act as super-user for benefits platform and drive employee engagement
Spend time on the shop floor to build rapport and boost workplace culture
Produce monthly HR metrics and suggest improvementsSkills and experience required:
Previous experience in a similar role
Background in manufacturing, logistics, or other industrial environment
Working knowledge of UK employment law basics
CIPD Level 3 (working towards Level 5) or equivalent practical experience
Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Confident communicator able to build relationships and challenge diplomatically
