About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Team. This role will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the council and the appointed construction contractor for a major regeneration project.
In this rewarding role you will provide dedicated support to Gypsy and Traveller residents affected by major works to regenerate and improve their site, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will build trusted relationships with Gypsy and Traveller residents, acting as a consistent point of contact throughout the regeneration process, including during temporary relocations. You'll advocate for residents in meetings with internal teams and contractors, ensuring their views are heard and respected. You'll keep residents informed about timelines, helping them prepare for the decants and understand their rights and responsibilities.
You will coordinate the decant process, ensuring appropriate storage is organised. Support residents with any additional needs, and ensure compliance with pitch licence and the temporary site health and safety requirements. You will work to minimise disruption, maintain accurate records, and support residents' involvement in the project evaluation.
