You will be responsible for leading and developing multiple projects within our energy business unit, as part of the pre-construction phases, covering the development of the working methodology and sequencing. This includes managing feasibility studies, feasibility design, detailed design to allow projects to move successfully into construction.
Working alongside our Head of Pre-Contract, you will primarily be supporting the bidding process and contribute to the following activities:
1. Manage all designated project work to ensure successful completion in accordance with safety, technical and legislative policies and procedures, as well as delivering in accordance with P6 programme, cost and quality.
2. Undertake site visits and attend kick off meetings for schemes, as well as monitoring progress and provide regular updates to both Clancy and the Client.
3. Liaise and coordinate with our clients, senior management and associated stakeholders to meet key programme dates.
4. Execute project execution plans associated with the proposed delivery strategy.
5. Demonstrate visual leadership and promote both Clancy and Client behaviour, maintaining close and proactive working relationships with the Client.
6. Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved and associated with the delivery of the works, ensuring they deliver to time, cost and quality.
7. Closely monitor and collate all existing and found information throughout the pre-construction phase, and ensure that these are captured and handed over to the delivery team following completion of the project.
8. Support estimating team in production of construction programmes, prices, risk registers and initial key CDM / safety documentation.
9. Support consenting teams in production of stakeholder management and consenting plans.
10. Support commercial teams to ensure costs control is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the projects and administration of project commercials are maintained via NEC contracts.
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
11. Contractual experience (ideally NEC)
12. A good grasp of delivering works, can build a programme, have a strong technical knowledge and experience of initial engagement with sub-contractors.
13. High Voltage and Utilities experience is prefered
14. Demonstrable project management experience in pre-construction development and build projects.
15. Significant technical and practical experience in projects management within DNO substations and highways.
16. Previous experience with working with primavera 6.
17. Previous experience with working with Excel data.
18. Excellent communication skills and an ability to analyse problems and offer solutions.
