Job Description:
This role is suitable for a Technical Support Engineer with a passion for technology and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The organization has been established for over 50 years and specializes in telecommunications within a niche sector.
The main responsibilities include providing hands-on technical support, managing IT infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 service availability, responding to inquiries, supporting 2nd line support, monitoring networks, and resolving technical issues. Additional duties involve record-keeping, developing technical skills, process improvement, and supporting 1st and 2nd line teams.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background, preferably in telecoms, satcoms, or maritime sectors, with experience in network operations or technical engineering. Knowledge of satcom equipment or management systems such as Inmarsat Satellite Maritime customer equipment is advantageous.
Work is based in Surrey, with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, including days and nights (0800-2000 & 2000-0800).

* Experience in an IT/Technology role within telecoms, satcoms, or maritime industries.
* Interest in technology and a desire for continuous self-development.
* Eligible for SC clearance.
