We are seeking an experienced and highly organisedOffice & Compliance Managerto lead office operations and compliance within a regulated recycling and environmental business.
This is not a general office management role. The successful candidate must have experience working within a regulated industrial environment and understand how compliance systems operate alongside operational site activity.
The role carries full-time equivalent responsibility and is offered on a part-time basis (25–30 hours per week).
Duties
Manage the day-to-day running of the office and ensure structured, efficient workflows
Line-manage finance and administrative staff
Own ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 administration and maintain audit readiness
Ensure environmental and compliance documentation accurately reflects operational activity
Work closely with the Operations Manager to align office processes with site operations
Act as the first escalation point for office and compliance matters
Oversee finance outputs and credit control activity (without direct bookkeeping responsibility)
Identify, document, and improve office systems and compliance processes
Ensure regulatory documentation is maintained to required standards
Qualifications
Experience within recycling, waste management, environmental services, manufacturing, or another regulated industrial sector (essential)
Practical understanding of operational compliance within a regulated environment
Experience supporting ISO systems (9001 / 14001 / 45001 desirable)
Experience supervising or managing staff
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Confident communicator able to work effectively across office and operational teams
Professional, calm, and accountable approach
