Job Details
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
North West Locality Glasgow City HSCP
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated technician to join the NHSGGC Pharmacy Team, focusing on prescribing initiatives and prescription management.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and patient care.
2. Deliver pharmacotherapy services as part of the GP contract.
3. Promote cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing within GP practices and care homes.
4. Coordinate data collection, input, and analysis, updating clinical records and supporting quality medication reviews.
5. Discuss medication use with patients over the phone.
Skills and Experience
Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills are required. Experience in primary care or multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
