As Deputy Store Manager of our Morrisons Daily store, based in a dynamic University setting, you'll play a key role in delivering a top-tier retail experience for students, staff, and the wider community. You'll work closely with the Retail Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store, taking ownership of key processes and driving performance through visibility, leadership, and innovation.
Make a Difference Every Day
* Support and deputise for the Retail Manager, helping to lead and inspire a team committed to customer excellence.
* Deliver consistent commercial performance by maintaining high operational standards and stock availability.
* Take initiative to improve store operations and the customer offer through innovation and data-driven insights.
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members in an inclusive and empowering environment.
* Build meaningful connections with the student body and local community to strengthen engagement and service.
* Help manage budgets, interpret sales and operational data, and prepare reports to inform continuous improvement.
* Play a key role in driving forward store targets, team accountability, and positive culture on the shop floor.
You'll Thrive If You Have
* Experience in a customer-facing retail or convenience environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leadership role.
* A passion for excellent customer service and a can-do attitude.
* Strong people skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Commercial awareness and confidence working with sales and performance targets.
* Ability to problem-solve and adapt to a fast-moving retail environment.
* Good IT skills and experience with administrative or reporting systems.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, and being flexible whilst working to a rota.
