Overview
I’m partnering with a growing engineering contractor to appoint a Groupmercial Manager. This is a senior,mercially focused role with full responsibility formercial performance,ernance, and risk management across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK, ROI, and Europe. You’ll play a key role at both operational and strategic leadership levels – shapingmercial strategy, driving financial oues, and ensuring robust contract and risk management across all live and future projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Group’smercial strategy and ensure strongmercialernance.
2. Manage contracts end‑to‑end, including negotiations, variations, claims, and final accounts.
3. Drive financial performance through cost control, forecasting, and margin protection.
4. Overseemercial input on tenders and identify risks early across multiple regions.
5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, leadingmercialmunication.
6. Mentor and develop themercial team, encouraging collaboration across departments.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Degree or equivalent experience in QS,mercial Management, M&E Engineering, or related discipline.
8. Strongmercial management background within construction/infrastructure, ideally MEP.
9. Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 or JCT contracts.
10. Demonstrable experience in cost control, reporting, forecasting, and subcontractor management.
11. Skilled negotiator with a track record of achieving positivemercial oues.
12. (Desirable) Chartered status, sector-specific experience, or additionalmercial/legal qualifications.
