Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UK regulations and industry standards.
•Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
•Provide HSE training and support to employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety protocols.
•Investigate incidents and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
•Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure HSE standards are met during site activities.
•Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
•Promote a positive HSE culture within the company through awareness campaigns, training sessions, and regular communication.
•Ensure that all necessary HSE documentation and records are maintained accurately and up-to-date.
•Stay current with UK HSE regulations and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to company policies.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the energy storage or related industry.
•In-depth knowledge of UK HSE regulations and standards.
•Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
•Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualifications is highly desirable.
•Ability to travel to various project sites across the UK as required.
