Role Overview
As a Lawyer (Housing Management) at Hyde, you will provide housing management advice and handle litigation related to housing issues.
Responsibilities
* Providing housing management advice and handling litigation in areas such as:
* ASB possession claims
* Unauthorised subletting claims and tenancy fraud possession claims
* Unauthorised occupier possession claims, including failed successors, former licensees, squatters
* Complex or defended rent arrears possession claims
* Other complex multi-ground possession claims
* Leasehold disputes and service charge recovery
* General advisory work on housing management issues, including hoarding, mental health, and social care issues
* Handling ASB injunctions and contempt applications
You will be part of an in-house team that offers support and encouragement.
Skills and Experience Required
* Valid Practising Certificate
* Solicitor admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales, Barrister, or Fellow of ILEX (eligible to be called a Legal Executive)
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in housing management cases similar to the responsibilities outlined above
* Experience managing own caseload, with adherence to billing and time recording targets
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong command of English
* High commercial awareness and adaptability to changing business needs
* Ability to work under pressure, managing a high volume of cases within tight deadlines
* Strong drafting skills and legal acumen
* Flexibility to meet organizational needs and deadlines
* Collaborative approach, willing to coach and support team members
