Shipping and Container Operations Supervisor
Location: Southampton
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000pa (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the team, ensuring engagement, training, and effective workload distribution.
Oversee import/export operations, cargo documentation (CNS/Destin8), manifests, and port clearance.
Act as primary liaison with vessel agencies, stevedores, and port staff; attend vessels on arrival to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Monitor vessel turnaround, resources, and communications; flag risks or delays to stakeholders.
Drive operational efficiency, control costs, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance (including dangerous goods).
Requirements:
Experience in maritime, shipping line, port agency, or logistics operations
Previous supervisory/team lead/management exposure.
Working knowledge of CNS, Destin8, or equivalent cargo documentation systems.
Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
