We manage collective commercial opportunities in sponsorship, broadcasting, and licensing, while driving the growth and
professionalisation of elite women’s football.
We are seeking to recruit an Operations and Partnerships Officer to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality competitions, as well as supporting with the management and activation of our commercial and broadcast partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of elite women’s football in Scotland, combining operational expertise with relationship management skills to ensure competitions run smoothly and partners’ rights are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
• Assist with day-to-day tasks related to the smooth running of the League and its competitions.
• Provide administrative support in a variety of tasks related to club compliance and competition rules.
• Coordinate operational elements of SWPL key events, such as:
o Sky Sports Cup Final
o Cup draws
o Play-off events
o Live broadcast fixtures
• Arrange trophy presentations (medals, trophies, staging).
Partnerships & Commercial Activation
• Support with the management of relationships with commercial, licensing, and broadcast partners, ensuring rights delivery and activation.
• Support broadcast delivery and liaise with partners to enhance the SWPL’s profile.
• Support with the approval processes linked to licensed products and brand usage.
• Coordinate operational requirements for sponsor activations at matches and events.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting for operational and commercial activities.
General
• Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and Head of Operations & Partnerships.
• Represent SWPL professionally at meetings and events.
Person Specification
Qualifications
• Degree educated (or equivalent experience).
Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations, partnerships, or event delivery (sports industry preferred but not essential).
Skills & Knowledge
• An excellent communicator, written and oral.
• Excellent administration and organisation skills, with attention to detail.
• Confident dealing with a range of stakeholders on a day-to-day basis and managing priorities, under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
• Knowledge of women’s football.
