RHR are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join this successful and long established retailer in South London. Trading predominantly within the home & lifestyle sector, this client is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their business to manage Small Domestic Appliances which is a significant part of overall sales.
Responsibilities
* Develop the range to maximise financial returns.
* Work cross functionally with an established supplier base.
* Negotiate and take ownership for securing the best margins.
Key requirements
* Proven previous experience as a Buyer across General Merchandise, ideally with ownership of electricals or SDA
* Commercial acumen, including the ability to work in cross functional teams.
* Great communication and leadership experience; showing resilience and a desire to perform at a high level.
* Able to work at pace in a reactive and proactive role.
* Numerical ability, with an analytical and trade focused mindset.
* Strong IT skills including MS Office.
* The role will require 3 to 4 days a week at the head office with 1 or 2 days at home.
* In return you can expect an excellent package with a basic between 65 - 80K depending on experience.
