Position Overview
This role involves managing an appropriately delegated caseload, including new assessments, planning and progressing treatment programmes, and supporting discharges. You will support therapy assistants and students, and work as part of a dedicated team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide safe, quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct new assessments and plan treatment programmes for inpatients.
* Progress patients’ treatment plans and support their discharge.
* Assist therapy assistants and students as needed.
* Work within the Trauma and Orthopaedic team or the Stroke team (two positions available).
* Provide weekend service coverage as required (stroke 7‑day, orthopaedics weekend).
* Attend rota‑paid additional hours after completing relevant competencies.
Qualifications & Experience
* Band 4 Assistant Practitioner level qualifications and experience as per the person specification.
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
* Experience working with patients in a rehabilitation context is an advantage.
* Demonstrated proactive, flexible approach and ability to work well on own initiative.
