We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to enable Stockport Homes Group to thrive through effective and innovative financial management.
What the role is:
Working with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Service Charge Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will provide support in budget management activities including monitoring, service charge and budget setting and production of the monthly management accounts. You will also be a key point of contact within the finance team for multiple stakeholders on a variety of issues ranging from day-to-day transactions to in depth financial analysis. You'll assist in the development, appraisal and implementation of new business initiatives, systems and processes to ensure an effective and robust financial control environment. Further to this you will support the ongoing development and improvement of financial monitoring and reporting arrangements to ensure such information meets the needs of users in a clear and concise manner.
Who you are:
Working towards an AAT Qualification (or higher), you’ll be aspiring towards full CCAB /CIMA qualification. With prior experience working in a finance team, you’ll have a proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to financial services and resolving complex financial issues. You will have contributed to the production of budgets or management accounts for a key service area or complex organisation. It’s also essential to have experience of working with complex financial systems and operational systems with financial dependencies and interfaces.
