Our UK operations collaborate with leading space industrial players, focusing on developing advanced space sensors and communication technologies. As we expand internationally, we seek innovative team members to help us explore new frontiers.
Responsibilities
* Develop FPGA/ASIC-based satellite telecommunication payloads, instruments, and sensors within a multidisciplinary team
* Lead and mentor hardware engineering team members
* Manage hardware product development lifecycle, including specification, design, and testing
* Integrate SoC IP and firmware
* Design detailed circuits, including schematic capture, component selection, and simulation
* Conduct engineering analyses and documentation (e.g., reliability, radiation, EMI/EMC)
* Support system integration, testing, validation, and qualification
* Oversee PCB layout design, coordinating with in-house and third-party teams
* Prepare prototypes and manufacturing packages for production
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 5-8+ years in hardware product design
* Hands-on experience with AMD SoC and FPGA design, including firmware integration
* Design of complex, high-speed, multi-layer PCBs (10+ layers)
* Proficiency with circuit and PCB design/simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, Allegro, ADS, Hyperlynx, HFSS, CST)
* Experience with FPGA design using Verilog/VHDL
* Additional advantageous skills include:
o High-reliability design (space, military, automotive)
o RF circuit design
o Design for mass manufacturing
o DC/DC power supply design
o Knowledge of environmental, thermal, safety, EMI/EMC standards
o Scripting skills in Tcl/Python/Perl
