Overview
Hours of work: full year - part time (up to 35 hours/week)
Salary: Grade 1 - £12.65 per hour (review of the Cumbria Living Wage pending)
We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the team responsible for the daily cleaning of our school. Duties will include deep cleaning and sanitising, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, etc. A uniform and full training will be given.
Hours and shifts
Hours of work: Different shifts, or a combination of the shifts below, are available. During the school term, we’re looking for people to work:
* 25 hours/week: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm
* 15 hours/week: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm
* 10 hours/week: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), 7.00 am to 9.00 am
We could combine the early shift with either of the two later shifts if you would like to work up to 35 hours/week.
The working hours are different during the school holidays – we’ll be able to discuss this at interview.
Responsibilities
* Deep cleaning and sanitising, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout school facilities
The successful candidate
Will be able to demonstrate the key skills necessary to be an effective cleaner:
* Attention to detail and pride in your work – to ensure thorough cleaning
* Time management and organisation – for efficient task completion
* Good communication skills
* Stamina – to meet the physical demands of the job
