Band 7 Subject to Evaluation
The successful candidate will be working as a core member of the fire safety team, building on the existing fire safety culture, delivering compliance with statutory frameworks, and supporting improvements to the built environment.
The Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) will be responsible for the delivery of our fire risk assessment programme in compliance with all fire legislation and NHS standards. The FSA will work closely with our Estates colleagues, supporting with technical advice, undertaking proactive work programmes, investigating incidents, and supporting the Fire Safety Trainer with the design and delivery of training that aligns with the Skills for Health framework and HTM 05-03 part A.
This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work documents to work in the UK when applying for this position.
The FSA will work with the Associate Director of Fire and Governance to provide assurance that the Trust is meeting statutory and regulatory obligations, while also adhering to national, local, and industry guidance. Any gaps identified will be documented in reports and supported by achievable action plans.
The FSA will support the Associate Director of Fire and Governance to ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, and arrangements are in place, and that governance processes are followed to monitor the effectiveness of fire safety initiatives across the Trust.
