Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager based in Croydon. The Assistant General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring the gym maintains its high standards of customer satisfaction, cleanliness, and safety compliance. The role involves coordinating staff schedules, supporting recruitment, training employees, managing memberships and customer inquiries, and implementing sales or promotional strategies. Additionally, the Assistant General Manager will assist in maintaining the facilities and liaising with management to ensure operational success.

* Leadership and Team Management skills to supervise and guide staff effectively
* Customer Service and Communication skills to address member needs and maintain satisfaction
* Sales and Marketing experience to drive membership growth and implement promotional campaigns
* Operational Management skills to handle scheduling, compliance, and facility maintenance
* Problem-Solving and Organizational skills for efficient gym operations
* Passion for fitness and familiarity with gym operations or fitness industry trends
* Experience in staff training and professional development
* Proficiency in using management software or tools is a plus
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or relevant field is preferred
