HR Adviser
Salary: Up to £33,500
Reports to: Human Resources Business Partner
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Adviser to join our team, supporting all departments across the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by delivering professional HR guidance and people solutions, while working collaboratively to shape and evolve our operating model to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and guidance on all employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary, capability, performance reviews, and absence management.
* Support HR processes such as probation tracking, contract changes, payroll authorisations, and record-keeping.
* Assist in delivering strategic HR initiatives, including organisational design, change management, employee engagement, and talent analytics.
* Champion health & wellbeing initiatives and act as a Mental Health First Aider.
* Support safeguarding by acting as a Designated Child Protection Officer.
* Build trusted relationships with managers and staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance.
* Maintain compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and internal HR policies.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in HR service delivery and embedding organisational values.
Person Specification:
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification; membership of CIPD desirable.
* Minimum 4 years’ HR generalist experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
* Proven experience in advising managers on complex employee relations issues and delivering people change projects.
* Knowledge of UK employment law, core HR processes, and safeguarding practices.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Highly organised, analytical, and capable of handling a varied workload with flexibility.
* Passionate about HR, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training, travel to other sites if required, and work flexibly.
