MOT Technician Required, in Barnstaple
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a reputable Dealership’s busy Service Centre in Barnstaple. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester looking to develop their career within a professional and customer-focused environment.

Competitive basic salary up to £35,000 per annum
Generous overtime opportunities paid at time and a half
Performance-based bonuses, with many technicians earning approximately £10,000 in additional monthly incentives.
Continuous manufacturer training and technical development programmes
Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
Optional Saturday overtime to increase earnings
22 days holiday plus bank holidaysDuties:
Conduct vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards
Perform MOT tests, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Accurately identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs to customers
Complete all necessary service and repair reports, warranty documentation, and job cards
Maintain high standards of work quality and efficiency while adhering to safety protocols
Assist with technical support and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions
Keep workshop areas clean, organised, and safe at all timesRequirements as an MOT Technician:
Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician with a minimum of two years’ workshop experience
MOT Testing licence (qualified or newly qualified) with valid certification
Experience working within a Main Dealer or Independent Garage environment
Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems and diagnostics tools
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst delivering excellent customer service
