We’re working with a successful secondary school looking for a dedicated Economics Teacher to join their business and humanities team. You’ll be teaching engaging and thought-provoking lessons that prepare students for success at GCSE and A-Level, encouraging them to think critically about markets, policy, and the global economy.
About the Role
As an Economics Teacher, you’ll:
* Deliver high-quality lessons in Economics at KS4 and KS5
* Plan engaging schemes of work that bring theory to life with real-world examples
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, using targeted revision and feedback strategies
* Foster debate, independent research, and analytical thinking in the classroom
* Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities such as business competitions or economics clubs
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS and a degree in Economics or a closely related subject
* Has experience teaching Economics at GCSE and A-Level
* Uses clear, engaging teaching methods to support all learning styles and abilities
* Keeps up to date with current economic issues to enrich lesson content
* Builds positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
