The Role:
We are looking for an experienced person to take the lead in our workshop, preparing the specialist materials for dispatch to the customers. The work is constant, with peaks of work required to fulfil orders on time. You will be using general workshop equipment to produce finished items to customer requirements. There are opportunities to learn additional skills e.g. preparation and packing, to both enhance your abilities and to be able to add more skills to the team.
We need this person to have previous experience of working with lathes, mills, guillotines and bandsaw type of equipment. You will need to be a team player who has engineering / machine shop experience and the ability to follow verbal and / or written technical instructions. The nature of the work means you need to have attention to detail and strive to produce quality work. Some of the materials are fragile and so you need to be aware of the materials that you are dealing with.
You will be working in a Production area and so you will need to ensure that safety procedures are adhered to and you will support writing SOPs and SWPs, as well as work closely with the Team Leader to actively support Health & Safety within work area.

Salary:
This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week worked between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
