Senior Family Support Worker
The Role
We are seeking to appoint two experienced and motivated Senior Family Support Workers to join our professional and dedicated Targeted Family Support Team. Both roles are part-time (30 hours/week over 4/5 days), both fixed term until end of December 2026.
To make a vital contribution to the direct delivery of a high-quality targeted family support service for families with children aged 0 - 11 years old across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury localities.
Working as part of a team to deliver programmes of intervention to improve parenting, resolve issues and improve functioning in families. Participating in a multi-disciplinary approach to working with families and co-ordinate partnerships and services to meet the needs of families.
The successful candidates will work with the Family Support Team Manager and alongside Gloucestershire County and District Councils teams, Independent Agencies, local partnerships and the voluntary sector to support and implement the countywide Early Help offer.
The successful candidate will preferably have an NVQ 4 or above in Childcare, Education or Health & Social Care or an NVQ 3, with an expectation to work towards a Level 4. You will also demonstrate a willingness to undertake other training appropriate to the role.
