Health & Safety Advisor / Manager
Overview
Our client is delivering major MEP packages on a major new construction development in Somerset — a flagship multi‑billion‑pound manufacturing facility. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor/Manager to lead HSE compliance and cultural implementation across a large‑scale, high‑risk construction environment. This role requires a proactive HSE professional with demonstrable experience on complex infrastructure, industrial, data centre, or manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead implementation of project‑specific Construction Phase Plan
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety tours
* RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
* Temporary works procedures
* Lead incident investigations
* Drive behavioural safety initiatives and positive reporting culture
Required Experience
Proven HSE leadership on:
* Large industrial projects
* Data centres
* Manufacturing facilities
* Infrastructure projects
* High‑risk activities (working at height, HV systems, lifting ops, confined space)
* Comfortable operating in fast‑track programme environment
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
* NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
