NEXT is dynamic and constantly evolving, pushing boundaries on a global scale. Our Credit and Risk team is responsible for a £1.3B portfolio, using data to drive insights that improve our customer proposition and business profit.
We are looking for a Collections Strategy (Insight) Analyst to join our team. You will be at the heart of understanding our credit customers, designing and implementing strategies to support those in financial difficulty. This is an opportunity to use your analytical skills to make a real impact for our customers and the business.
What You Will Take On
In this role, you will work at pace to ensure our collections strategies are fair, empathetic, and effective.
* Analyse at scale: Produce complex analysis and regular reporting using multiple data sources. You will work with big data sets, often involving billions of rows, to uncover meaningful patterns.
* Identify opportunities: Comment on trends and contribute ideas to solve challenges or improve processes.
* Refine strategies: Continuously review collections strategies to drive positive outcomes for customers while staying compliant with regulations.
* Collaborate across teams: Work with colleagues in our contact centres, marketing, and tech departments to deliver integrated solutions.
* Present insights: Build and present strategy recommendations to internal and external stakeholders with clarity and belief.
What You Will Bring
* Analytical experience: A background in an analyst position or a highly numerate field.
* Big data expertise: Experience working with large-scale data sets (billions of rows) is essential to succeed in this role.
* Industry expertise: The ideal candidate will have experience working on credit strategies. Specific experience in Collections or Collections Strategy is beneficial.
* Technical skills: Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python and experience visualising your results using Excel, Google Sheets or PowerBI.
* A problem‑solving mindset: A natural curiosity to get under the skin of complex data and find logical solutions.
* Strong communication: The ability to present insights clearly to gain buy‑in for change.
